a week in the life of brittany

I like to feel confident in whatever I wear. Confidence in my appearance brings out confidence in my daily activities. Looking nice doesn't always mean wearing dresses or skirts, but I favor them because they're comfy and breezy. A couple of my favorite items would have to be my black swede boots and long silver tree necklace. I love to mix and match pieces. I feel that when I came to college, I found my true style and found ways to express myself through clothes. I hope that can be the same for others because whether we like it or not, your clothes speak before you do - and with having a big mouth, that usually works in my favor.

a week in the life of branden

One of the reasons Branden and I are friends is because he knows how to dress. Guys who dress nicely in college are far and few in between so I truly treasure having him close. Branden's style usually consists of vans or mocasins paired with fitted jeans and a tee under a hoodie - and then there's always the occasional Mr. Rogers or Guido getup. Whether it's a casual sweater or semi-formal vest, Branden always demonstrates comfy and classy fashion.

a quickie for my classy b's

Everyone always says it's the little things that make a difference, but what do you gauge as little or large? And most times don't the large things turn into a lot of great little things? I'm sick of hearing people say "I enjoy the small things in life." Whose to say that those small things aren't big things to others?

As I was getting dressed this morning afternoon, I was excited to wear my newly acquired skirt paired with leggings and boots (due to the lack of proper spring weather). I was thinking about what would work best together considering my color scheme and realized that I had a purple sweater that would fit perfectly. As I put on my purple sweater over a black tank, I also put on a smile. The fact that I could combine the old and the new of my closet to make a one of a kind, fresh ensemble made me truly joyful. I was acquiring new pieces and keeping the old, my silver and gold combined to make a never before seen element.

Now, would this be a small or big thing? At the moment, I saw it as small, but then when I considered all that my outfit would endure throughout the day, I saw it as big :)
